Last Friday we had the pleasure of playing host to the Zenner's for 24 hrs. We started our tour when Jeff joined us at 'The Last Supper', the first opportunity Jeff has had of seeing it. From there one must go see the Duomo. Another first for Janet and Jeff was going up on the roof! Well worth it. In fact we forgot to even go into the Duomo! The rain came and we wandered just a bit more before heading home to an aperativo and then supper.
I've spent the past week trying to finalize 6 people's movements from December 17th through January 5th. You can't purchase rail tickets more than 60 days in advance so I'm guessing on some transportation issues. But!.. we have a roof over our head in 3 locations. That is a start.
Oh...the 6 people are both daughters and their husbands and us.

The Zenners loved the visit with you (too short!) Thanks for our tour of the town...it was just awesome to be able to see the Last Supper. Thanks for reserving our 20 minutes! And we really enjoyed our delicious home cooked meal. What a treat after so many days of searching for a restaurant each night. What a beautiful country...our entire 18 days were wonderful. Would love to return one day...too many places we were not able to see.
