This past weekend we took a day trip to the Piedmonte wine country. The trip was sponsored by the American's in Milan group, and we car pooled with the Miller's. The sun didn't make an appearance, but the trip was nice. We had a tour of the winery and then a 5 course lunch with 4 wines. The name of the winery is Fontanfredda and is in the Lange. Their specialty is Barolo. We were within a few miles of Alba, where the truffle festival was going on. We did not partake, but can not say the same of the Barola.
