Back in Milan

I'm trying something new, so you'll have to tell me if you like 1 way over the other. In the past I've combined the pictures from a trip into a slide show, but was concerned about the amount of time it might take to download them. So now I'm trying fewer pictures and directly on the post. Let me know if there is a preference either way! So, we're back from Spain. The weather was not the greatest, temps in the 60's but the wind was strong. Fortunately the rain held off until this morning, just as it was forecast. Now that's hard to believe! Jeff and I took a 6 hour road trip to see what lay inland. What we found was mountains, and small compact villages, and more mountains. The picture of trees are of Cork Oak from which cork is harvested every 9 years by taking an ax and cutting it from the trunk! It's been a long day, but was anxious to share! Oh, I almost forgot, the last 2 photos are from the relatively good size town of Ronda. It's growth caused the city forefathers to expand the city by building a bridge over the river gorge. If you've seen the final scene in the first of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and can visualize the passage Frodo and Sam went through on the river with columns of the old kings, that's the grandeur of this span.
