What a weekend we had. who knew getting wired could cost so much money! Purchases this weekend included a TV, DVD player, TV stand, a couple of small carts for bathroom storage, misc. routers, splitters etc. for internet to computer and TV and that is just the furniture angle. July is sale month in Italy. From what we understand it is the only time stuff goes on sale. It's a good thing I only have cash to spent, or else I'd be walking south 5 blocks and hitting the stores. I still might. Our shipment is due this week, as soon as it is released from customs, and I honestly don't remember what is in there. Arranging all that stuff will keep mi busy for a while. My first attempt at adding pictures did not give the results I wanted. They are from Bergamo, where I visited 2 weeks ago with new friends. Jeff and I went to Lake Maggiore, visiting the town of Stresa, taking a boat ride to 2 islands, and touring a castle and gardens on Isola Bella. We left Stresa and wandered a bit then headed for Arona, the southernmost town. Not that much to see there. Will attempt to post those pictures later. It took only 2 weekends and Jeff is driving like Jeff. The Tom Tom navigation certainly helps.
