Hello from MILANO

I am at Jeffs office and have a minute before we go to the bank to get me on the account. We still are without internet at the apartment, but everything that flew with us has a home and we settling in nicely. We should get our "stuff" mid July. We have taken the company up on the offer of a rental car for 40 days. Most of the furniture and electronics stores are beyond train stops, and we would like to buy a TV and some sort of furniture for the 2nd bedroom, which is now serving as my laundry room. I may have mentioned the extra room is long and narrow with 2 doors on opposite walls, so configuring sleeping for 2 will be a trick, but we will figure it out. In the mean time I have a room to dry clothes, hang them to iron, and iron! my job here is to keep Jeff in clean clothes, ironed shirts, and maybe food. I have no problem buying groceries, but the meat is very different, and there is no outside grill!!!! Until later, my love and kisses to all.

Hi Janet ... so glad to see your update. Sounds like things are falling into place. We are having issues getting to you. Was going to cost us almost $3,000 each to make the whole thing one round trip. Now we're trying going to England, round trip, then Milan, round trip. Prices better. David and Sandra Wilkins are gone the weekend we wanted to come in and stay with them. They live close to the airport and can pick us up. We're trying to maybe see them on our way back to Houston. Haven't heard from them about that. Hate to not see them.
Raining, raining, raining ... we're going to float off into the Gulf of Mexico any day. We just got back from Lake of the Ozarks with our whole famile (18 of us) for a week; off to Michigan for 2 weeks in August ... renting a motor home and touring Pennsylvania with my Aunt and Uncle and 7-year old granddaughter. Wanted to try one a few times before buying. Should be fun, but scary for me. Robb says I HAVE to try driving ... I do good to get my Honda where I want it to go! Can't think of any news ... did you know the Benders? Just found a cancerous brain tumor in their 18-month old daughter. Gary & Tee are the grandparents. Everyone on vacation in the office ... really quiet. I'm working for Dorothy for 2 weeks (10-3) ... tough shift. Take care and keep in touch. Love, Jo
