We got an exception to continue with the house sale!!! Now I have my work cut out for me. Pack for temporary living , 1 month in Houston, and whatever in Milan, what gets stored and what gets shipped. Should be interesting...

Hi Janet ... I too, was moved to a differend country (England) for a couple of years with a 6 and 8 year old. My husband went on ahead and I had to pack everything up for storage, England, and what we were leaving in the house to rent. Thinking back, I don't know how I did it.
My parents arrived 3 days after the girls and I did. They had gotten their tickets months ago thinking we would be there much earlier.
Are you going to be there by the 2nd week in Sept? Guest room? Nearby accommodations if not? If this won't work out for you, please let us know. We'll fly into London and spend a week or so with our English friends (5 families who fight over how long we will stay at each place and let them wine and dine us) then drive over to you for a few days.
